This week the school has finally felt back to its pre pandemic self. Staff have been well and in work, the young people have been smiling and working hard, and relationships have been collegiate and warm. For the first time ever, this summer I will be spending days on end encamped at Lancashire County Hall in Preston, hearing appeals for parents desperate to send their young people to our school. This is a product of the hard work of the last five years and the trust that our community has in us.

We are now thinking hard about the next five years and how to further improve our school. For too long comprehensive secondary schools have been synonymous with low expectations, our school has shown that this doesn’t have to be the case. We will now work to raise expectations of behaviour and academic achievement even higher, for some of us this will feel challenging but it is the right thing to do as our young people deserve the very best. I remain proud to be Moor Park and supremely grateful to serve this community.
