BTEC Performing Arts

Year 10 and 11

Teaching throughout the Faculty aims to embed knowledge and understanding from KS3. Focus is placed on developing the techniques and skills required in performance be it on the stage, in the studio or on the pitch! Students are taught in environments that aim to nurture creativity and to develop individuality through the Arts. Teaching and learning in KS4 promote positive attitudes to learning such as commitment, determination and the confidence to take responsibility for learning.  A range of teaching strategies include enquiry-based and active learning approaches that motivate, engage and challenge students.
