We are looking to appoint a Premises Manager. We would be delighted to give you a tour of the school, prior to applying for the post, where you will be able to see first-hand the high standards of cleaning and facilities and have a discussion with the ICT Systems and Facilities Lead. Working under the direction of the School Business Manager and the ICT Systems and Facilities Lead you will be responsible for maintaining the school buildings and grounds to the highest possible standard, ensuring a safe environment for pupils, staff and visitors. You will be responsible for all Health and Safety issues in school and will work in liaison with the School Business Manager and the ICT Systems and Facilities Lead to develop and improve the school building and resources.

This is a full year post and therefore offers the option of taking some holidays within term time.

You should have:

  • A level 3 qualification in Caretaking (or equivalent) plus experience of working in a similar role OR substantial previous experience and specialised skills;
  • Experience of staff management and successful team leadership;
  • Experience of planning and programming work;
  • Experience of project management to include management of and negotiation with contractors;
  • Knowledge and experience of premises management;
  • Knowledge and experience of Health and Safety legislation and ability to monitor health and safety policies and procedures
