Year 7, 8 and 9

At Moor Park High School and Sixth Form students in year 7-9 can enjoy learning Art, Dance, Drama, Music and PE in an interesting and imaginative way. All subjects are taught by specialist teachers who are passionate about creating a professional performance atmosphere and this enthusiasm captures the interest of students which in turn engages and inspires students of all abilities.   Students’ will develop confidence, presentation and team work skills as well as independence, organisation and self-management skills across all subjects within the Faculty.

In addition to the curriculum the Expressive Arts Faculty offers the opportunity for students to be enriched through a wide variety of clubs being offered both at lunch time and after school. Students have the opportunity to showcase their considerable performance considerable talents at concerts and in tournaments and are encouraged to represent the school in sports teams, in public performances and both local and national competitions.  Students are also eligible to apply for a Performing Arts Scholarship, which will provide exceptional quality Music or Speech and Drama lessons free of charge. Students have the opportunity to learn a musical instrument and are offered tuition delivered by experienced and qualified teachers, Instruments are provided and all participants are encouraged to take regular examinations in their specialism.

Year 10 and Year 11

This new course allows you to learn about various music products, develop valuable skills and techniques in music creation, performance and production, and explore potential careers in the industry. The qualification builds on learning from Key Stage 3 and provides a good introduction for post-16 education.
