No experience of working with children is necessary, but you will need:

  • the ability to relate well to children
  • the confident to assist students on an individual basis and in small group/whole class work
  • excellent communication and motivational skills to engage young people
  • the ability to demonstrate emotional intelligence
  • enthusiasm for supporting students with differing needs/ability
  • knowledge of the diverse demands of working in a multi-cultural environment
